In the four years we’ve be subscribers to the Geffen Playhouse, we have yet to be disappointed with any aspect of their productions. From the sets, to the sound and lighting, they are all done so professionally and leave you in awe. The actors of course are also spectacular and take you into these different worlds seamlessly. They are how plays are meant to be experienced.

The Geffen’s production of “Third” was another entertaining and fascinating production. Though personally not yet familiar with the story of King Lear, the play is centered on a student accused of plagiarism, by a liberal professor caught up in her own world of self righteousness. The play builds the characters with many scenes and delivers the final message that reminds us that we shouldn’t get too hung up on ourselves and think that everything we think of how things should be, are correct. Certainly “Third” was a play worth seeing at the greatest playhouse venue in Los Angeles.
